Gouache Painting of Rapunzel and Flynn during the Light scene. This painting was done for Disney Fine art, and will be available through them!
I had a lot of fun revisiting the characters from the golden book, and this moment was one of my favorites. My dad loved it so much he kept insisting that we get lanterns for our wedding last year. It took a while to explain that the fire marshals would not be pleased.

Rapunzel’s Tale Illustrations WIP
David Gilson | Digital, Graphite
"The second book on which I worked is a small novel without claim, telling the adventures of Rapunzel according to her point of view. This book is only available in English language. I am not the author of the cover but I carried out the illustrations in black and white which appear inside and through the story, jointly and under the indications from one of the major artists of Disney Publishing, Jean-Paul Orpinas. Here you can see some of these illustrations on which I could preserve a bit of my own style and you can also see some first drafts of research.”
